15 July 2026
On July 15, 2026, LAM+ welcomed researchers from the Geological Survey of Brazil (SGB) and graduate students from the Graduate Program in Geosciences (Geochemistry) at Fluminense Federal University for a technical visit to the laboratory facilities.
The meeting featured an intensive exchange of experience and a productive brainstorming session. Key topics included rare earth elements (REE), the development and improvement of analytical protocols, and opportunities to integrate different techniques for material identification, characterization, and mapping.
New applications involving hyperspectral imaging, X-ray fluorescence, electron microscopy, and artificial intelligence tools were also discussed. The conversations helped identify ideas, innovative approaches, and shared interests that may lead to collaborative projects and activities.
The interaction among researchers, students, and institutions strengthens the development of new partnerships and expands opportunities for scientific and technological progress in geosciences and related fields.
